…and while I’m on the topic of pollitics, here’s another:

Mercer for President 2008

Not sure if it’s bonafide or parody, but the point I want to make is that, despite the wording indicating a questionable state of mental health, reading between the lines this guy actually makes more sense than Bush. I openly confess having never given a fuck about US pollitics (and I’m not about to start), but if I could vote Mercer on the 24th of November in the Australian Federal (thanks for the date Pete, you’re dead-set a champion) I would be.

If you’re going to have a lunatic at the helm of your country, you may as well have one who isn’t *pretending* to be sane.

PHP Melbourne September Meeting

Testing with Selenium Core - Jason King - 7:15-8:00 pm

Selenium is a javascript based website testing package that allows you
to create tests to determine if your website is functioning properly.

The use of selenium core, and the firefox addon for selenium will be
demonstrated so you will be able to write and run your own tests.

I will also be going through how to get the results of selenium tests,
and store them in a database for future analysis.

XUL is Cool! - Christian Hope - 8:15-9:00 pm

Mozilla’s XUL is a user interface markup language used in cross platform applications such as Firefox. XUL is based around a similar technology stack to your every web development, which should make it relatively easy for web developers to pick up.

Christian will be covering the basics of XUL development including how to create Firefox extensions.
